Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to use Pulse?

No. Pulse has no accounts and no sign-ups. All recording, editing, and captioning features work out of the box.

How do I connect Pulse to my organization's server?

Open Pulse and scan the QR code provided by your organization. Once paired, your exported videos upload directly to your organization's own server.

Do captions require an internet connection?

No. Captions are generated entirely on your device — your audio never leaves your phone. The caption model downloads once, then works fully offline.

My upload was interrupted. Do I have to start over?

No. Uploads resume automatically when your connection returns.

Can I move a draft to another device?

Yes. Export any draft as a .pulse file and share it directly to another device, where it can be imported back into Pulse.

Where are my videos stored?

Drafts live on your device. When you upload, your video goes only to the server your organization paired with — there is no third-party cloud in between. See our Privacy Policy for details.

In the app, tap About at the top of the home screen, then Copy details and paste them into your email — that gives us your app version, build and device.
